Building community through care
Hêvî Kurdish Center for Mental Health and Community Care is a Kurdish-led, community-based organization supporting mental health and well-being of Kurdish-speaking people.
Through community programs, education, and direct support, we walk alongside Kurdish individuals and families—delivering services in the languages they are most comfortable with, and rooted in the cultural realities of their lives. We approach every person with dignity and inclusivity, and with a deep awareness of the trauma so many in our communities carry.
What We Do
Education & Programs
We offer mental health education and community workshops that reflect the lived experiences of Kurdish and newcomer communities. Our peer support and wellness programs are designed to create safe, culturally familiar spaces where people can share, heal, and build resilience — in their own language, and among people who truly understand their journey.
Navigation and Access
Finding the right support in an unfamiliar system can be overwhelming. We help individuals and families cut through that complexity—connecting them to mental health services, community resources, and practical support that fits their specific circumstances. No one should have to face that process alone.
Language and Partnerships
We make all of our programs and resources available in multiple languages, because language should never stand between a person and the help they need. We also work closely with partner organizations across the community to close gaps in care, share knowledge, and ensure that the people we serve are never left without a path forward.
Community Assessment SurveyTo enhance our services that truly reflect the needs of our community, we are conducting a community mental health assessment.
We would love to learn from your experiences, perspectives, and insights. It will help us better understand current challenges, gaps in services, barriers to accessing support, and the types of programs that would be most helpful. You can fill out the survey in any of the four languages offered through the links below.
Let’s begin the conversation.
